The accompanying Certificate of Authenticity identifies the coal as recovered from the Titanic wreck during the 1994 Titanic Research & Recovery Expedition. It identifies the wood as authentic yellow pine wreckwood from the Titanic and the rust as originating from the ship. The certificate provides the provenance information supplied with this pen.
